CERAMICS HANDBUILDING

Instruction will be provided on basic techniques such as coil pots, slab construction, surface treatments and a combination of glazing techniques to complete an array of finished projects. Introduction to the potter’s wheel will be available to any interested students. Develop a new skill that is fun and creative!  It’s easier than you think!

CERAMICS HANDBUILDING / THROWING

In this class students of all levels will be challenged to think outside the box and set long range goals for themselves. Students will have an opportunity to both hand-build or wheel throw, as well as explore clay construction and glazing techniques. A choice of clay and glazes will be provided with the option of purchasing additional clay.

CERAMICS THROWING & DECORATION

Beginning or advanced students will learn new skills to build a strong foundation in pottery form and surface. Focusing primarily on wheel throwing, the goal is for you to make unique pots expressing your own individual creativity.  The emphasis is to make functional items you can use and enjoy.

$15.00 per session

Spend more time in the clay studio with other adult students every Tuesday after- noon. Participants must be presently enrolled in an Art Center clay class. Payment will be taken at the office before each session.
