Weekly Oil Painting Classes



Friday Mornings 10AM – Noon | Mar 28 – May 9





In these oil painting workshops, you’ll learn the techniques to bring your artistic vision to life. Starting with the basics of color mixing, value and composition. We’ll break down the core skills of painting to help you understand each step of the process. Through guided practice, you’ll develop confidence and control, allowing you to experiment with brushwork, layering and color harmony. As you gain these foundational skills, the focus will shift to personal expression, encouraging you to create work that reflects your individual style and voice.

Earth Colors



Teacher: Trevor Thomas


Details: Discover the timeless beauty of earth tones. This workshop explores the rich, muted palette of natural pigments. Learn how to mix and layer these colors to create harmonious landscapes, rustic still lifes, and evocative portraits. We'll focus on building depth and atmosphere using the subtle nuances of umbers, siennas, and ochres.


Ages: 18 years and older.​ Exceptions made for mature teens with a parent's permission.


Class Size: Eight students

Primary Colors

Details: Back to basics! This workshop dives into the essential building blocks of color: red, yellow, and blue. Learn how to mix a full spectrum of hues using only the primaries. We'll explore color theory, mixing techniques, and how to achieve vibrant and nuanced results with a limited palette.

Hensche Color Study
